Fellow Dundasians,
We are announcing the retirement of our Parade Coordinator, Donna Graham after this year’s 2025 Dundas Cactus Parade. With more than three decades of dedicated volunteer service, Donna and the current board of directors have decided to step down and make room for new eager volunteers to take on the Dundas Cactus Parade starting in 2026.
Donna has been the heart and soul of the Cactus Parade since 1988, and her leadership — supported by a devoted board (many of whom are her own family) — has helped the event blossom into one of Dundas’ most loved celebrations. Donna and the current board are happy to support this year’s 50th Anniversary Parade and know it will certainly be an event you won’t want to miss!
With the full board preparing to transition out of their roles at the end of August 2025, we are now looking for passionate individuals to step forward and help carry this torch into the future. This is a unique opportunity to play a meaningful role in preserving a joyful tradition that brings together thousands in our community each year. If you’ve ever cheered from the sidewalk, volunteered in the lineup, or simply felt the pride of seeing Dundas come alive in music and motion — this is your moment to get involved!
Interested in learning more about the responsibilities of the board or discussing a possible transition plan? Please reach out to the team via email at dundascactusparade@gmail.com. We’d love to connect with anyone who wants to ensure that this vibrant and cherished community tradition continues to march on.
